A 40 Year Legacy Continues

My name is Molly Davidman, and in 2024 I graduated with a BFA in Film, Photography, and Visual Arts, then stepped into a 40-year legacy. In 2025, I took over The Art Resource from my grandmother, Fran Davidman, who founded it in New York in 1980. She built this business working with corporations, hotels, healthcare systems, and private collectors— always representing the client, never the gallery. I'm carrying that forward with the same institutional rigor she demanded and the digital tools she never had. Whether you're curating a corporate headquarters, managing a hospitality collection, or building your first personal acquisition, you deserve an advisor with no conflicts and no agenda beyond getting you the best outcome.

Our Story

In 1980, Fran Davidman founded The Art Resource in New York City to represent clients—not galleries. Over 40 years, she built institutional expertise working with commercial properties like Hyatt in partnership with Steckroth Hospitality Group and Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, while serving discerning private collectors who valued honest advice over sales pressure.

That institutional rigor became our competitive advantage. The systems we used to manage 200-piece hotel installations work just as well for personal collections. The negotiation skills honed on six-figure corporate acquisitions protect individual buyers. The documentation standards required by Fortune 500 clients ensure proper insurance for keeping your collection safe.

In 2025, Molly Davidman brought The Art Resource back to its New York roots with digital tools and global reach. Today, we serve clients throughout North America and worldwide—from developers in Dallas to collectors in Manhattan to hoteliers in Halifax. Geography doesn't limit us. Technology and relationships connect us to galleries, auctions, estates, and studios across the globe.

What hasn't changed: we represent you, period. No gallery commissions. No referral fees. No conflicts. Whether you're curating a commercial space or building a personal collection, our only incentive is getting you the best possible outcome.

That's been true since 1980. It will be true in 2050.
